Career-Bridge Recruitment are partnering with a respected Mid Devon construction company seeking an experienced Site Manager to deliver a growing portfolio of commercial projects, while also bringing a strong appreciation for bespoke domestic builds.
This role will suit someone who has worked for a mid-size construction contractor, for an individual who wants to be part of the future of the business.
As Site Manager, you will be reporting into the contracts manager and lead the day-to-day delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest standard. You will be confident managing multiple stakeholders, from clients and consultants to subcontractors and in-house teams.
Duties
- Take ownership of on-site operations across commercial schemes and occasional domestic builds.
- Manage and coordinate with subcontractors, trades, and direct labour
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Accurately interpret drawings, programmes, and specifications.
- Maintain site documentation, quality assurance, and progress reporting.
- Liaise with architects, surveyors, clients, and commercial teams to achieve project goals.
- Oversee procurement, logistics, and cost awareness on site.
- Identify and resolve issues early to protect programme and quality.
About You
- Strong track record delivering commercial projects (e.g., retail, office, or mixed-use schemes).
- Good understanding of domestic & construction projects
- Knowledge of compliance, phasing, and working alongside commercial clients and consultants.
- SMSTS, First Aid at Work, and CSCS card – essential.
- Relevant NVQ or Degree in Construction Management – desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
