Career-Bridge Recruitment is working with a leading Tier 1 construction contractor to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor within their Central & West region. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly successful, forward-thinking business delivering major projects across the South West.
Projects typically span £10m–£30m across sectors such as education, healthcare, leisure, and defence.
The role will be based out of either Exeter or Plymouth, with some flexibility for 1–2 days hybrid working per week for the right candidate.
About the Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for projects from tender through to final account, operating within a geographically focused team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the commercial function across your allocated projects
- Producing accurate and timely commercial reporting
- Providing strategic commercial advice to internal stakeholders
- Managing project costs to ensure targets and margins are achieved
- Overseeing and supporting junior quantity surveyors on larger schemes
About You
We’re looking for a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in main contracting.
- Proven experience in a Tier 1 contractor environment
- Exposure to frameworks such as DfE, SCF, MoJ, or MOD
- Experience managing projects within the £10m–£30m range
- The ability to lead and mentor junior surveyors
- A degree in Quantity Surveying (or similar discipline)
- Progression towards or membership of RICS / CIOB
- A valid CSCS card
- Full UK driving license
