Career-Bridge Recruitment are working with a growing regional contractor delivering a mix of private residential and commercial projects across the South West. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple projects.
This role will involve managing several live schemes at once (typically £50k–£500k, with occasional larger projects), ensuring programmes are delivered, risks are managed, and commercial performance is protected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee contractual and commercial aspects across multiple projects
- Manage variations and change control from identification through to agreement
- Monitor project programmes, identify delays, and implement recovery plans
- Work closely with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth delivery
- Maintain accurate project records, reports, and contractual documentation
- Support subcontract procurement and ensure terms are commercially sound
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Contracts Manager (or similar) role within construction
- Strong understanding of contract management and project delivery
- Experience running multiple projects simultaneously
- Good knowledge of construction programmes and sequencing
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally
Desirable:
- Experience with JCT, NEC or similar contracts
- Commercial or quantity surveying background
- Relevant construction qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree/NVQ)
- SMSTS / CSCS (Manager level)
