Career-Bridge Recruitment is partnering with a highly regarded residential developer to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic commercial team, with a base in Exeter.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well established business delivering high-quality housing developments across the South West, backed by a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for excellence.
This role will involve spending three days per week on site, with the remaining two days based in the Exeter office or working from home one day.
The Role
In this position, you will take ownership of financial and cost control across one or more developments, from initial award through to final account.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the commercial performance of projects to drive profitability and efficiency
- Producing accurate cost reports and CVRs
- Cash flow forecasting and financial planning
- Procuring, administering, and managing subcontractors
- Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and internal procedures
- Promoting commercial best practice across all projects
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, design teams, and the wider supply chain
About You
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential or main contracting environments
- Strong commercial awareness with a proactive approach to cost management
- Good understanding of standard forms of contract (JCT preferred)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across live projects
