Our client, a well-established and expanding contractor with a strong pipeline of secured projects, is seeking an experienced Plumbing Foreman / Mechanical Supervisor to take a leading role on multi-million-pound construction schemes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual with both technical expertise and leadership capability to oversee plumbing operations, ensure compliance with standards, and deliver projects on time and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate and supervise mechanical-biased site teams on new build and commercial projects.
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, plans and specifications.
- Manage daily site activities, liaising closely with site managers, contractors, and other trades.
- Ensure all plumbing works adhere to quality, safety and regulatory standards.
- Effectively plan and allocate manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Deliver toolbox talks and maintain a strong safety culture across the site.
- Report progress and escalate issues to project managers where required.
- Provide guidance, mentoring and on-the-job training to apprentices and qualified plumbers.
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges efficiently.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience as a Plumbing Foreman / Site Supervisor on large construction sites.
- Solid technical knowledge of mechanical systems, building codes and health & safety regulations.
- Proven leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple teams.
- Confident communicator with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Recognised Plumbing trade qualification.
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
- Flexibility to travel between Bristol and London (occasional overnight stays required).
