Career-Bridge Recruitment are working with a leading national housebuilder who are looking to appoint a Site Manager on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful Construction Team, reporting directly to the Contracts Manager and playing a key role in delivering high-quality residential developments.
Our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a housing development, ensuring homes are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role would suit an individual with a strong background in housebuilding who enjoys leading teams, driving progress, and maintaining exceptional site standards.
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating site activities from the groundworks phase through to completion, ensuring smooth delivery throughout the construction programme. You will work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, internal departments, and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the development.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to day operations of a live construction site, ensuring build programmes and quality standards are achieved.
- Supervising site teams and subcontractors, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with specifications.
- Maintaining accurate site records, including inductions, site diaries, inspections, and health and safety documentation.
- Liaising with local authorities, utility providers, and warranty bodies to ensure project milestones are met.
- Coordinating material deliveries and site logistics to minimise delays and maximise productivity.
- Monitoring build quality and ensuring any defects or snagging issues are addressed promptly.
- Promoting and maintaining a strong health, safety, and environmental culture across the site.
- Working collaboratively with Sales, Customer Care, Technical, and Commercial teams to ensure a smooth customer journey through to handover.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Site Manager within the residential housebuilding sector.
- Proven ability to manage housing developments and deliver projects to programme.
- Valid SMSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid qualification.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management or equivalent would be advantageous.
