Career-Bridge Recruitment are working with a principal contractor who specializes in one off and bespoke build projects throughout Devon and Cornwall. They are looking for a Working Site Foreman with a Carpentry background to join their team on a permanent basis
Working on large scale extensions, house renovations, barn conversions and one-off bespoke new builds
As the site foreman you will have board knowledge and experience to over see a project from start to Finnish and willing to work on tools for about 65% of your time and drawings and paperwork based 35%.
Duties
- Overseeing and working on various projects throughout Devon & Cornwall on Barn Conversions, Extensions, and one of bespoke new builds
- Implementation of company Health and Safety policies on a day to day basis
- Leading and managing other tradespersons on site
- Balancing their management duties effectively with carrying out their own trades works on site where required
- Working closely with the Site Operations Manager to ensure targets are understood and met
- Working closely with the Site Operations Manager to ensure that materials, plant and other resources arrive on site in a timely fashion
- Interpreting plans, drawings and specifications to ensure that the build is delivered in line with the design
- Work ranging from structural, timber frame, cut roofs, 1st and 2nd fix, to finishing. Kitchens, bathrooms, windows, fitted furniture
- Producing bespoke details, and working with a wide variety of materials
- Working on large scale extensions, house renovations, barn conversions and one-off bespoke new builds
You will need
- NVQ or to be time served in Carpentry
- SSSTS (desirable)
- Driving license
- Experience within a similar role
- A growth mindset, with a skill for developing themselves and others around them
