Career-Bridge Recruitment are working with a progressive MEP contractor who are looking for a Commerical Assistant to join their growing team in Plymouth. You will be joining a progressive leader within the services sector looking to further bolster their commercial team with the addition of a Commercial Assistant with the long-term opportunity for further growth and development into Quantity Surveying.
My client is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the commercial team within the Southwest. Qualified to college level or equivalent experience required with a high competency in mathematics.
The position has excellent career opportunities (further onward training as a Quantity Surveyor if desired), the successful candidate will have good commercial awareness and a delivery focused approach and a willingness to succeed and develop in the role.
Day to day duties
- Assist the Commercial Team on maintaining effective cost management of the projects.
- Ability to work across multiple projects.
- Assist with the Commercial Team on procurement, subcontract accounts and monthly reporting.
- To always act professionally and promote the company’s best standards and practices.
You will need
- IT literate in all Microsoft Office 365 products.
- Coins experience beneficial but not essential
- Effective communication skills
- Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Ability to develop self and others.
- Organisational and planning skills
- Effective team player
- Ability to address problems calmly and work towards successful solutions
In return
- £25,000 – £32,000 per annum depending on experience
