Career-Bridge Recruitment are working with a successful Devon-based construction company who are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to help lead and shape their growth journey. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of their projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
This would really suit an individual who is working for a mid sized construction company, or previous experience of working within a construction company.
Day to day duties
- Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation
- Conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments
- Managing project finances, including monitoring costs and value engineering
- Negotiating and managing contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Preparing and submitting accurate progress reports
- Resolving disputes and managing changes in project scope
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies
You will need
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within working for a construction company
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and procurement methods
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, MS Office Suite)
- A keen eye for detail
