Career-Bridge Recruitment are working with an established building services client who are based in Gloucester who are seeking an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join their team.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing mechanical engineering installation projects with a minimum value of £1.5 million, particularly within the Commercial, Industrial, and Public sectors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring works are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Manage procurement processes for mechanical plant, materials, and sub-contractor packages, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Ensure all works are compliant with current industry standards, health & safety regulations, and client requirements.
- Liaise closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure technical and commercial aspects of projects are delivered effectively.
- Lead and mentor project teams, providing guidance to site managers, engineers, and support staff.
- Monitor project financials, manage cost control, and report on project performance against budgets and timelines.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in mechanical engineering project management within the Commercial, Industrial, and Public Sectors.
- Demonstrable experience managing contracts of at least £1.5 million in value.
- Strong technical knowledge and the ability to interpret mechanical designs and specifications.
- Commercially astute with solid experience in procurement and contract negotiation.
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
